What We Offer to the Community

 

Our Fairbanks Jewish Center is dedicated to serving the spiritual, emotional, and practical needs of the Jewish community across Fairbanks and surrounding areas—including Fort Wainwright, Eielson AFB, and UAF. We welcome everyone, regardless of background, level of observance, or affiliation. 

Shabbat Meals:

We warmly welcome guests to join us for Shabbat meals! Meals are hosted either at the home of Rabbi and Chani Wolf or at the Fairbanks Jewish Center, depending on the size of the group.To reserve your spot, please call or email us in advance — we look forward to sharing a meaningful and uplifting Shabbat with you.

 

Shabbat Morning Services:

Join us for monthly Shabbat morning services at 10:30 a.m., followed by a warm and welcoming kiddush luncheon. All are invited! Please see the Shabbat Services page for the current schedule. 

Adult Jewish Education

Ongoing Torah classes, one-on-one learning, and accessible discussion groups for all backgrounds. Topics include Jewish holidays, Hebrew reading, prayer, and Jewish philosophy.

Senior Visitation & Outreach

We visit local Jewish seniors to bring friendship, prayer, holiday joy, and a sense of connection—whether at home, hospital, or care facilities.

Bar & Bat Mitzvah Preparation

Personalized one-on-one tutoring, ceremony planning, and meaningful celebrations to help your child step into Jewish adulthood with confidence and connection.

Brit Milah & Baby Namings

We coordinate traditional Bris services with certified mohels and offer naming ceremonies for boys and girls, making this milestone welcoming and memorable.

Jewish Burial Services

We offer guidance and support during loss, helping families honor their loved ones with dignity and tradition. Assistance with burial arrangements, Kaddish, and Shiva support is available.
